Privacy policy

Crystal Coast Treasures L.L.C. ("Crystal Coast Treasures," "we," "us") runs the online store at crystalcoasttreasures.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, and anything you include when you contact us.
  • Order information: what you buy, return, or cancel, and your payment details. Card numbers are handled by our payment processors; we don't see or store your full card number.
  • Information collected automatically: your device and browser type, IP address, and how you use our site (pages viewed, items added to your cart, purchases). We collect this with cookies, pixels, and similar tools.

How we use it

  • To process and ship your orders, handle returns and refunds, and answer your questions.
  • To send order and shipping updates.
  • To send marketing emails or texts, only if you sign up. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email.
  • To show you ads on Facebook and Instagram and measure how well they work (see below).
  • To prevent fraud, keep the site secure, and meet legal and tax obligations.

Who we share it with
We don't sell your information for money. We share it only as needed to run the store:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout. See Shopify's privacy policy at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • Payment processors (Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal) to process your payment.
  • Shipping carriers (USPS and UPS) to deliver your order.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for advertising and measurement (see below).
  • Government authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or our customers.

Advertising, cookies, and the Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API through Shopify's Facebook & Instagram app. These tools send Meta information about what you do on our site, such as pages viewed, items added to your cart, checkouts started, and purchases, along with device information and, in some cases, contact details in a hashed (scrambled) form. This helps us show our ads to people who may be interested and to measure the results. Meta's use of this information is covered by Meta's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.
You can manage cookies in your browser settings, and adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

Your privacy choices and state privacy rights
Under some state privacy laws, sharing information for targeted ads may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out:

  • Use our Data sharing opt-out page at https://crystalcoasttreasures.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out, or
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser; we treat it as an opt-out request where the law requires.

Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we have about you and get a copy,
  • correct it,
  • delete it,
  • opt out of targeted advertising and any "sale" or "sharing" of it, and
  • appeal if we deny your request.

To make a request, email crystalcoasttreasures@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. You can also have an authorized agent make a request for you.

How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as we need it to fill orders, handle returns, keep business and tax records, and meet legal requirements, then delete it.

Security
We use the security tools built into Shopify and our payment processors. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children
Our store isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date.
